Felicity and Simon fostered Makharn from July 2010, initially to help her recover from surgery. After a couple of months they soon realised that they would never be able to give her up for adoption so they officially adopted this beautiful Burmese lookalike cat. Makharn will travel with them wherever they go - lucky Makharn!

Khun Noi (on the left in the picture) and her husband Khun Pad live just next door to the SCAD Centre. Khun Noi came with her friend to adopt little Buster and Keno. Buster and Keno will join their poodle to make a real doggie family!

SCAD's 400th cat adoption: 30 November 2010

Teresa fostered Bangle till she was old enough to get spayed. After she brought her back for her surgery and to go into the adoption program, she realised how much she missed Bangle at home and decided to adopt her. We love happy endings!

Sivalee and Narit adopted a job lot from SCAD... and we're all delighted. The lovely, playful puppies, Fleur, Bandit, Lobo and Amelia are all off to live in a house with a big garden where they will have lots of space to play with the family and their two children.

Sweet Ivy makes SCAD's 100th adoption for 2010 - we're all so thrilled that Athalie and Laiyoung picked Ivy. The couple do not currently have any other pets but they both grew up cats and dogs as pets and so are looking forward to their first pet in their home together.

Playful Barney has found his forever home with Khun Teeraporn. Teeraporn already has a 14 year old dog at home and was looking for an energetic young puppy as a friend for her dog. Have fun Barney!

 

SCAD's 800th adoption! 16 November 2010

Bridget makes number 800 in SCAD's adoption programme - and it couldn't be a better milestone for this lovely girl. Bridget has been adopted by the van Dullemen family, Paola, her husband Torsten and their two daughters - Bridget didn't have the best start to her young life, but now she's found a new loving family, we hope that her happiness with them is going to last forever!

Tracy and Todd fostered Mork from the time he tested positive for Feline Leukaemia. After a couple of months and a retest which came back clear, they soon realised that they would never be able to give him up for adoption so they officially adopted beautiful, loving and lively boy... he is now known as "Mark".

Little Alice (who probably won't be so little once she grows up!) has been adopted by SCAD supporter Deborah. This is not the family's first SCAD adoption... they adopted Bibi (now called Muffin) from SCAD back in November 2008 and when their second dog passed away recently and they were looking for a friend for Muffin, they came back to SCAD to find a new doggie pal. We're sure Alice will be the perfect match!

Lucky NumJai was in a very poor state when she was rescued by long-term supporter and animal lover, Khun Ti. With Ti, NumJai has undergone lots of treatment but she still remained a shy girl. Finally Ti decided she would have to adopt her - what a lovely happy ending for both Ti and NumJai!

Messi came to SCAD via SCAD supporters in Hua Hin who also run their own sterilisation projects for dogs in their local area. Messi is very beautiful but she remained extremely shy - so much so, that Kathryn and Tom decided to bring her back down to Hua Hin to join their existing cat crew at home. Messi looks right at home there!

Mopsy was dumped along with her siblings at SCAD's rehoming centre. In a week when the centre was overwhelmed by puppies being dumped, staff were very concerned about how to cope. Fortunately, Cecilia and her partner, Frederick, fell in love with Mopsy. An even bigger bonus; they also adopted beautiful Foxy! What a great adoption day!
