Edmund was the only male kitten in a litter of five. In October 2010 they were dumped on a little used dirt road, most likely because their human family could not take care of them. Left without food or water it was up to the very young kittens’ sense of adventure to survive. And like most famous explorers, the kittens had some great luck when a SCAD supporter passed by the tree they were hiding under. Named after Sir Edmund Hillary the first person to reach the summit of Mount Everest, this kitten no doubt feels like he is on the top of the world now that he has been adopted. |
