Calgary or Vancouver?
If so, please consider helping in the rehoming of a needy
animal.
Many dogs in Bangkok suffer serious injury or lose a limb through
traffic accidents. Others suffer from disease, infection, trauma and
malnutrition that affect them physically and may leave them with a
permanent disability or requiring medication for life. They endure
unimaginable pain and suffering, yet their forgiving natures mean they
are always ready with a wagging tail at every kind word or caress.
Sadly, their friendly temperaments alone aren't always enough to find
them homes in Thailand where little value is placed on rescued 'strays'
as pets.
The Hearts & Hounds programme gives all these wonderful dogs the opportunity
they deserve: the chance of finding their forever homes in Canada and USA, with
families that will welcome and love them.

How you can help
The dog's journey begins with finding a traveler (escort) flying
from Bangkok on dog-friendly routes* to:
1) Washington DC, USA
2) Seattle, WA, USA
3) Calgary or Vancouver, Canada
SCAD organizes all the paperwork, makes all payments, and meets the
traveler at the check-in desk on the day of departure. The lucky
dog travels as excess baggage, no stress or cost to the escort. The
only effort required is to collect the crated dog from the baggage
hall on arrival at destination, and meet the Hearts & Hounds representative
in the arrivals hall to hand over the precious cargo. Previous escorts
have found this an easy and rewarding experience and they are willing
to give references!
*A dog friendly route generally means:
1) Not via Hong Kong where special transit permits are needed.
2) No lengthy stopovers, but in-transit stops are OK.
3) No change of airline.
