Pocky

Date of Birth: December 2009

Pocky was originally owned but was treated horribly. His owner kept him in a dark room and abused him physically - often forgetting to feed him. Neighbours became aware of his plight and rescued him, bringing him to SCAD for assessment and treatment. Pocky was in a poor state; his fur was matted and he was full of ticks and fleas - he had skin problems and his hip was dislocated.  After some time and a plenty of TLC, Pocky recovered from his hip problem, but fate was to administer another cruel blow - Pocky was diagnosed with distemper. We had thought that his little body would not cope and we were worried that he would not make it. However Pock proved us all wrong by making a full recovery. By this time we had all fallen in love with Pocky - including K. Mot who had undertaken his primary care whilst at SCAD, often taking him home to care for him and cooking him special meals.

Pocky is extremely happy in his home with Mot and Nat and their other rescue animals (several more of them from SCAD!!)
