Date of Birth: November 2009 When Ratty arrived at SCAD as part of a CNR project, staff were worried about her health and her future if she was to be returned to the sois where she had been living rough. She had a cough, bad skin and generally looked in bad condition. She was such a sweet and loving girl, forming close bonds with SCAD staff and particularly our vet nurse. Ratty loved to hang out in the medical room or the SCAD office. Her skin problems and cough were ongoing but she made progress gradually. A period in foster care helped and soon she started to gain a sleek and shiny black coat though she remained prone to periods of skin problems. We hope that her new loving, settled home will mean her skin problems become a thing of the past. Lucky Ratty has two canine pals at her new home as well as a loving human family. |
