Sally's road to adoption: Abandoned.  The area was deserted.  There was no food or water.  It must have been as foreign as outer space to Sally and her four siblings (Annie, Susan, Hillary and Edmund).  Left to fend for themselves at only five weeks old the kittens had to depend on their young survival skills.  Being natural adventurers (and friendly little souls) they ran out in front of what must have been the only car to pass by.  With the good fortune that many explorers have, Sally and her siblings got very lucky.  In the car was a SCAD supporter and cat lover.   After such a big adventure at such a young age, we named this little kitten after the first woman Astronaut, Sally Ride.
