Sumo

Adopted: 25 February 2012

When adopter Khun Wachirasiri came to pick up his new family member Humphrey the shihtzu, his little friend Sumo made so much of an impression on him that he too was chosen to join Khun Wachirasiri's family! Sumo and Humphrey are the best of friends, enjoying daily playfights and wrestles and we know that both dogs are going to be much happier in their new home with each other form company!

Sumo's Story: Sumo came to SCAD along with his mother and siblings after the family was rescued from the floods in Bangkok. Whilst the other pups grew well and were able to move to their new home at a shelter in Chiang Mai, Sumo didn’t develop as quickly and for a while had trouble walking as his little legs weren’t strong enough to support him. After some TLC in foster care, Sumo is now fully recovered and is a fully mobile, happy puppy!

Many thanks to Claire Deacon, Mark Stelzner and all others who contribute their photography skills to our adoption programme.
