Wrinkle

Adopted: August 1 2012

Beautiful dog Wrinkle has found his forever home at the other side of the world, just 8 months after he came to SCAD during the floods, alone and afraid. Wrinkle was in Canada less than a month before hefound a premanent forever home with an adoptive family, along with their older dog. After the adopters fell in love with him, he had to pass the test with their original dog, but the two got on well and so Wrinkle has gone to his new home! Many thanks to Toronto Humane Society for finding Wrinkle such a great new home! Woof!

Wrinkle's Story:  Spotty dog Wrinkle got his name from his very cute wrinkly head! Wrinkle came to SCAD during the recent flood crisis, when he was rescued from a flood area and brought to the TWP Shelter under SCAD's care. At first it was suspected Wrinkle had a dislocated left hip as his bone seemed to be sticking out at a very strange angle, however, x-rays revealed Wrinkle femural head (the 'ball' which fits into the 'socket' of his hip) was sheared off. Although complicated and painful surgery was an option, the vet instead recommended that as Wrinkle was in no pain from this defect, the hip should be left to form it's own joint. Aside from a lumpy hip, Wrinkle is fully mobile, pain free and loves to run!

Due to SCAD's closure, Wrinkle found a new temporary home with Toronto Humane Society - http://www.torontohumanesociety.com/  - where he found fame on TV and radio before being adopted!

Many thanks to Claire Deacon, Mark Stelzner and all others who contribute their photography skills to our adoption programme.
