SCAD has educational presentations for all age groups:
“Teacher Tub” and his assistant “Miss Meow” are used to introduce the information to the younger age groups. We provide lesson plans appropriate for each age group, which the teacher may choose to use as preparation for the presentation. These include colouring sheets or a simple ‘question & answer’ format for younger children, or points for discussion amongst the older age groups. On Saturday mornings, students aged 11 or over can join the Stray Tails Club, where they have some learning sessions before enjoying some 'work' time with the adoptable cats and dogs at SCAD's rehoming centre on Sukhumvit Soi 71. Please contact us for more information and to check the next available session. Our presentations leave the door open for further participation between the students and SCAD, encourage empathy with the problems faced by stray cats and dogs and the communities in which they live, and explain how we are working towards alleviating the problems. We also discuss pet ownership and keeping safe around pet and stray animals. SCAD offers further presentations for a more in depth approach to the key issues if required. 'Muttketeer' and ‘Muttketeenie’ Certificates of Participation and Achievement are presented to the younger age-groups. |
