SCAD “Community Champion” Awards are given to deserving people in recognition of the vital contribution they make to animal welfare in their own community. These contributions come in many forms:

• feeding, vaccinating and sterilising stray animals;
• arranging medical treatment for injured animals;
• raising funds for community-based ABC programmes;
• increasing awareness and educating others in the importance of ABC in both the owned and stray animal populations; and
• tirelessly volunteering and promoting the work of SCAD.

Although only a modest certificate, this public form of recognition is an important tool in encouraging these wonderful people to keep up the good work. Meet the Recipients.
